JOB DESCRIPTION
Department - Presales
Location - Noida
Role Overview:
Leading the organization's techno-commercial bidding, government procurement, OEM partnerships, and strategic proposal management functions. The incumbent will be responsible for driving end-to-end bid strategy across Government, Defence, PSU, and Enterprise opportunities while ensuring commercially competitive, technically compliant, and profitable submissions.
The role requires extensive experience in GeM operations, government procurement processes, tender governance, OEM relationship management, and commercial negotiations.
A key success factor for this role is building strategic relationships with OEMs to secure competitive commercial terms, exclusive partnerships, technical support, and long-term business collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Bid & Tender Management
- Lead the organization's end-to-end bid management process for Government, Defence, PSU, and Enterprise opportunities.
- Develop bid strategies aligned with organizational objectives, profitability targets, and customer requirements.
- Review tender documents, RFPs, EOIs, RFIs, and RFQs to determine bid feasibility, commercial viability, technical compliance, and business risks.
- Drive bid/no-bid decisions through comprehensive commercial and technical assessment.
- Ensure timely submission of technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.
- Develop strategies to improve bid conversion ratio, proposal turnaround time, and commercial competitiveness.
3. OEM & Strategic Partner Management
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with OEMs, technology partners, and solution providers.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, special discounts, exclusive authorizations, project support, technical documentation, and extended commercial benefits.
- Drive long-term OEM engagement strategies that enhance TAK Technologies' competitive positioning.
- Evaluate new technology partners and identify opportunities for expanding the product portfolio.
4. Commercial Strategy & Pricing
- Define bid pricing strategies in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Business Heads.
- Lead commercial negotiations with OEMs and suppliers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.

- Ensure financial viability of bids while optimizing commercial outcomes.
5. Tender Compliance & Governance
- Establish robust tender governance processes to ensure first-time-right submissions.
- Interpret and evaluate:

Commercial terms & Payment conditions
LD & penalty clauses
Arbitration provisions
Bid security requirements
Performance Bank Guarantees & Contract conditions
- Ensure compliance with GFR, DPM, GeM guidelines, CVC guidelines, Defence procurement norms, and customer-specific procurement policies.
6. Proposal & Solution Leadership
- Guide Presales and Engineering teams in preparing comprehensive techno-commercial proposals.
- Oversee preparation of:
- Compliance Statements
- Technical Documentation & Presentations
- Solution Architecture

- Ensure solution optimization aligned with customer requirements and organizational capabilities.
7. Functional Leadership
- Lead departmental planning, KPI management, resource allocation, business growth initiatives, OEM alliance development, and talent development. Establish and continuously improve presales processes, SOPs, knowledge management systems, and organization-wide best practices to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
- Mentor and develop Presales and Tendering teams by establishing standard processes, templates, and best practices.
- Review critical bids before submission and provide strategic direction to improve proposal quality.
- Ensure high standards of data integrity across SAP, CRM, and MIS platforms for opportunity tracking and management reporting
8. Customer & Partner Engagement
- Represent TAK Technologies during customer meetings, OEM discussions, pre-bid meetings, technical presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Build strong relationships with Government departments, Defence organizations, PSU customers, consultants, OEMs, and technology partners.
- Support key account teams during strategic customer engagements and contract negotiations.
Job Specifications:
Educational Qualification - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related discipline). MBA (Marketing/ Operations/ International Business) preferred.
Experience - 15+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Tendering, Government Procurement, GeM Operations, Techno-Commercial Bidding, OEM Management, or Presales leadership. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven leadership experience in solution architecture, Technical Compliance (QR), OEM management (including case locking/mutual exclusivity, OEM authorizations, certifications, and commercial negotiations), customer engagements, site surveys, pre-bid meetings, POCs, and solution demonstrations. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, basic AutoCAD, Power BI, and advanced Excel is preferred. Experience in AI-enabled surveillance, Video Analytics, Integrated Command & Control Centres (ICCC), Cyber Security, Cloud/Hybrid solutions, and VMS platforms will be a distinct advantage.
