About Tutoronics

Tutoronics is an online tutoring platform connecting students with qualified, experienced tutors to provide personalised academic support. We are looking for an experienced History tutor to provide specialised support to a Year 13 student following the Pearson Edexcel International A Level (IAL) curriculum.

Courses Required

• WHI02: The British Raj
• WHI01: Russia in Revolution

Important

We are specifically looking for a tutor who has taught these courses before and is familiar with the Edexcel IAL syllabus, examination format, and assessment requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured online History lessons tailored to the student's academic needs.
• Teach the British Raj (WHI02) and Russia in Revolution (WHI01) units.
• Explain historical events, causes, consequences, interpretations, and development clearly.
• Help the student develop source analysis, essay writing, and evaluation skills.
• Prepare revision materials and exam-style practice questions aligned with the Edexcel IAL syllabus.
• Provide exam preparation strategies and constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Monitor student progress and address areas requiring improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of online tutoring experience.
• Proven experience teaching Pearson Edexcel International A Level History.
• Previous teaching experience in WHI02 (The British Raj) and WHI01 (Russia in Revolution) is strongly required.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant syllabus, examination structure, and marking criteria.
• Excellent English communication skills and fluency in spoken English.
• Experience using online teaching platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.
• Ability to use digital whiteboards, screen sharing, and other online teaching tools effectively.
• A relevant degree in History or a related field is preferred.
