Senior interior designer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead and manage our design projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate should have strong design, technical, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, multiple projects, and client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end process of interior design projects – from concept, planning, design development, and detailing to execution and handover. Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring design quality, timelines, and budgets are maintained. Directly coordinate with clients, senior architects, consultants, and internal teams for smooth workflow. Act as the single point of contact between clients, senior management, vendors, and team members. Provide leadership and direction to a team of up to 10 designers and project staff. Allocate resources, assign tasks, and ensure proper team coordination across different phases of a project. Conduct and lead client meetings, site inspections, and vendor interactions. Monitor progress on-site, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Develop and review detailed working drawings, 3 D models, presentations, and material boards. Use industry-standard tools including Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Enscape, Photoshop, and MS Office for design and documentation. Implement and manage a multi-tasking project management system to keep all stakeholders aligned. Regularly update clients and senior stakeholders with project reports, timelines, and deliverables. Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills:

Strong design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Advanced proficiency in Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Enscape, Photoshop, and MS Office Suite. Proven experience in site handling, project coordination, and client relationship management. Ability to lead and inspire a design team. Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented and capable of producing high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A portfolio showcasing a variety of completed residential, commercial, or hospitality projects. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a design team.
