Tax Manager (Erie)

Job Title: Tax Manager Location: Erie, CO Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: Hybrid Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage a tax office in Erie, CO. This role is responsible for overseeing tax return review and sign-off, managing workflow and deadlines, developing staff, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the growth of the office. The ideal candidate will have strong tax review experience across individual and business returns, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage client relationships and a book of business. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the tax office. Review and sign off on 1040, 1120-S, 1065, and multi-state tax returns. Oversee tax workflow, deadlines, seasonal planning, and return quality. Maintain and strengthen relationships with business owners, high-income individuals, and other clients. Manage and retain an existing book of business while identifying opportunities to develop new client relationships. Take ownership of client service and resolve complex tax-related issues. Establish and maintain quality standards for tax returns before they are delivered to clients. Qualifications Active CPA or EA license in good standing. Strong tax review experience involving Individual (1040) returns S-Corporation (1120-S) returns Partnership (1065) returns Multi-state tax returns Proficiency in ATX or UltraTax preferred. Experience with other professional tax software is also welcome Strong knowledge of professional tax preparation and review processes. Experience managing or developing a book of business is highly valuable.
