<p>We are hiring a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Kolkata office at Park Street. Applications from non-CA candidates will not be considered. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>About the Company </b> </p><p>We are a Kolkata-based family business operating from our Park Street office. Our core activity is the trading of steel and ferro alloys, supported by overseas (ODI) investments in manufacturing companies producing ferro alloys and allied products. We are also engaged in the import and export of commodities, textiles, and related goods, along with investment activities. The office is a close-knit team of around 5 people (excluding management), working in a collaborative, family-business environment. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>About the Role </b> </p><p>We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take full ownership of finance and statutory compliance across a group of companies &amp; individual files. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is highly organized, deadline-driven, and equally comfortable managing high-level compliance and day-to-day execution. The role includes leading a team of 3 associates while staying directly involved in the work. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b> </p><p><b>Statutory &amp; Regulatory Compliance </b> </p><p>●     Manage end-to-end compliance across group companies, individual files and banks </p><p>●     Ensure timely filing of GST, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and all other statutory returns </p><p>●     Handle MCA / ROC filings and maintain corporate compliance </p><p>●     Coordinate with statutory auditors for smooth and timely completion of audits </p><p>●     Handle APR (Annual Performance Report) submissions for overseas ODI entities and coordinate with the CA for timely finalization and filing of balance sheets </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Banking, Import-Export &amp; Forex Compliance </b> </p><p>●     Liaise with banks on KYC and banking compliance across all accounts </p><p>●     Manage import-export compliance, including Bill of Entry and Shipping Bill documentation </p><p>●     Ensure accurate export-import billing and complete documentation for every dispatch </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Accounting &amp; Reporting </b> </p><p>●     Ensure books in Tally are updated weekly and remain decision-ready at all times </p><p>●     Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly financial reports covering all group companies and key individual files </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Family Office </b> </p><p>●     Manage family-office finance matters, including share-market / capital-markets related compliances and accurate bookkeeping </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Team &amp; Operations </b> </p><p>●     Lead and guide a team of 3 associates supporting daily operations </p><p>●     Step in and execute operational tasks directly whenever team members are unavailable or additional support is needed </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Requirements </b> </p><p>●     <b>Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) </b>— mandatory </p><p>●     Minimum 3 years of relevant experience </p><p>●     Strong working knowledge of Indian tax and regulatory frameworks — GST, Income Tax, Professional Tax, MCA/ROC, and FEMA/ODI </p><p>●     Hands-on proficiency in Tally </p><p>●     Exposure to import-export / forex compliance (Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, APR) is a strong advantage </p><p>●     Proven ability to manage multiple entities, deadlines, and a small team </p><p>●     Highly organised, detail-oriented, and dependable </p><p><br /></p><p><b>What We're Looking For </b> </p><ul><li>We value people who lead by example.
