Senior Accountant with Sales Tax Expertise

Owning the day-to-day accounting operations, the full-time remote Senior Accountant with Sales Tax Expertise will manage accounts receivable and payable, oversee the monthly close for multiple entities, and handle the US multi-state sales tax function while collaborating directly with the COO. Key responsibilities Manage the monthly billing cycle, including SaaS subscriptions and vendor reconciliations Oversee the US multi-state sales tax function, including registrations and compliance filings Serve as the primary contact for the annual financial statement audit, preparing necessary schedules and workpapers Required qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with full ownership of a month-end close Hands-on experience with US multi-state sales tax, including nexus determination and filings Working knowledge of Avalara or a similar sales tax engine Experience with US GAAP revenue recognition under ASC 606 for multi-element SaaS contracts CPA (Canada or US) or equivalent practical experience
