The ideal candidate brings strong hospitality finance experience, particularly within food & beverage operations, and understands the financial and accounting complexities associated with multiple revenue streams, hospitality inventory, COGS, and partnership entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting activities for the Miami operation.
  • Perform hands-on accounting functions including journal entries, invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable, payment application, vendor invoice review, and monitoring outstanding balances.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue, expenses, labor, COGS, and other key operating and financial results across multiple business lines.
  • Provide financial analysis and operational insight to property leadership to support informed business decisions.
  • Establish, strengthen, and maintain financial procedures and internal controls for the property.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities and collaborate with the Dallas finance team on month-end reporting and P&L preparation.
  • Provide the Dallas finance team with accurate financial data, supporting documentation, files, and other information required for consolidated reporting.
  • Partner with department leaders across hotel operations, food & beverage, events, membership, programming, marketing, and workplace operations to understand financial performance and support business needs.
  • Work with department leaders on internal budgets, spend tracking, labor costs, event and activation costs, and identification of areas of over- or underspend.
  • Support financial reporting across multiple revenue streams and entities, including partnership and royalty reporting.
  • Oversee and monitor COGS and cost controls related to food & beverage and hospitality inventory.
  • Serve as the finance liaison with the third-party vendor supporting inventory and COGS management.
  • Retrieve payroll information and process payroll through Paycom or a comparable payroll system.
  • Support audits and financial review or compliance activities as needed.
  • Help improve and structure financial processes as the Miami operation and broader organization continue to grow.
  • Occasional travel to Dallas to collaborate with the corporate finance team and visit company properties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Hospitality finance/accounting experience required, including hands-on food & beverage experience.
  • Food & beverage COGS, inventory accounting, and cost-control experience required.
  • Experience supporting a multifaceted hospitality environment with multiple revenue streams such as hotels, restaurants/food & beverage, private clubs, events, or similar operations strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on accounting experience including journal entries, invoice processing, accounts payable/receivable, payment application, and vendor invoice review.
  • Strong experience with financial reporting and analysis, P&L management, budgeting and spend analysis, month-end/year-end close, accounting operations, and internal controls.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to analyze revenue, expenses, labor, COGS, and operating performance and provide actionable financial insight to department leaders.
  • Experience working with multiple entities or revenue streams; partnership and/or royalty reporting experience is a plus.
  • Experience processing payroll and working with payroll systems such as Paycom or comparable platforms.
  • Experience working with hospitality accounting, point-of-sale, inventory, and financial systems. Current systems include QuickBooks, Paycom, Shoebox, and POS platforms, with Restaurant365 being implemented; experience with these specific systems is not required.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational department heads, corporate finance, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on, collaborative, and self-sufficient approach with the willingness to step outside a narrowly defined scope when needed to support the operation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort serving as the primary on-site finance resource while collaborating closely with an established corporate finance team.
  • CPA is not required.
