About The Company: Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support high-volume payroll operations in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who is detail-oriented, thrives under deadlines, and is committed to delivering accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Job Description: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for a large employee population across multiple pay schedules. This role ensures payroll data is accurate, payroll deadlines are met, and all transactions comply with federal, state, and local requirements. The ideal candidate has experience with enterprise payroll systems, payroll auditing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Process payroll for a large workforce consisting of both hourly and salaried employees across multiple pay frequencies. Maintain employee payroll records by entering, reviewing, and updating payroll information within the HRIS. Analyze payroll reports and conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy before final processing. Review employee earnings, tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and garnishments to ensure proper processing. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while ensuring all payroll calculations are accurate. Complete payroll processing according to established schedules and critical processing deadlines. Coordinate payroll file submissions and funding activities with the organization's payroll service provider. Prepare and process supplemental payrolls for adjustments, corrections, retroactive pay, and other special payments. Effectively manage overlapping payroll cycles while maintaining accuracy and meeting required timelines. Maintain payroll documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable payroll regulations. Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, and Finance teams to resolve payroll questions and maintain accurate employee records. Qualifications: Experience processing high-volume payroll using Workday in the last year. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, payroll taxes, benefit deductions, wage garnishments, and multi-state payroll practices. Experience performing payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict payroll deadlines. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Must be available to work on-site 3 days per week in Dallas, TX area.
