Description

We are seeking a strong hands-on resource with proven experience in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Enterprise Data Warehousing, and Dimensional Data Modeling. The primary responsibility of this role will be to design and implement scalable Star Schema and Snowflake Schema based data models for our enterprise reporting, analytics, and semantic modeling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop enterprise-grade Fact and Dimension models following industry best practices.
• Build and maintain reusable semantic models for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and reporting teams to translate business requirements into scalable EDW solutions.
• Support Fabric and Synapse-based enterprise data warehouse architecture and modernization initiatives.
• Establish data modeling standards, documentation, governance, and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW)
• Expert-level knowledge of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design
• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models)
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Power BI Semantic Modeling
• Advanced SQL / T-SQL
• Fact & Dimension modeling
• Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1 & Type 2)
• Data Governance and Metadata Management
