Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative, high-growth defense technology company . Under an agile development framework, Technical Project Managers at Epirus serve as both scrum masters and product owners, leading research and development projects from initial planning through delivery of first-article solutions. Epirus products are typically developed ahead of customer involvement and requirements, so engineers rely on product owners, usually a TPM and a Chief Engineer, to understand both short-term priorities and long-term value to the end customer, whom they represent during the R D phase. In this role, you will work closely with talented engineering and operations teams, reporting to the Manager of Technical Project Management within the Engineering and Technology Organization (ETO). Responsibilities: Act as the bridge between ETO and other department stakeholders (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) for one or multiple efforts Ensure that teams are aligned on goals and timelines that enable Epirus to build the best products possible Create and own agile/hybrid project plans, including schedules, budgets, and other artifacts Be a servant leader to an interdisciplinary and inter-functional scrum to ensure the team delivers the highest value to Epirus and its customers Remove obstacles and find creative ways to do things better, faster, and more efficiently Track the delivery of technical features, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met. Report progress to relevant stakeholders Identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles, and work proactively to resolve them before they impact the timeline or deliverables Drive company goals by both delivering on company promises while also foreseeing future opportunities and shaping technology products to be more effective Basic Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or a related technical field AND minimum 2 years of relevant project management experience, especially in high-growth startups and aerospace Experience with the deployment and integration of hardware and software systems Experience with building, leading, and developing small teams of engineers Prior systems engineering or software integration experience Prior experience hosting and leading both technical and non-technical reviews with cross-functional audiences Prior experience building and managing project artifacts like schedules, budgets, and risk registers Preferred Skills and Experience: Previous experience using JIRA or other agile-enabling software platforms Proficient in MS Project and/or Smartsheet use Engineering or Operations leadership program graduate or related experience Previous work on DoD Projects Superior communication skills Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization with limited resources Organized, comfortable setting, and achieving goals in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
