Job Title: PYP Teacher

Board: IB – Primary Years Programme

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality inquiry-based education aligned with the IB PYP framework, fostering academic excellence, global citizenship, and holistic development in young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum and inquiry cycles
• Design and implement Units of Inquiry (UOI) integrating transdisciplinary themes
• Use diverse teaching strategies to support differentiated learning
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies
• Maintain accurate student records, portfolios, and reports
• Collaborate with PYP coordinators and teaching teams for curriculum planning
• Integrate ATL skills, learner profile attributes, and international mindedness
• Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, reports, and conferences
• Participate in school events, professional development, and IB training
• Uphold IB standards, school policies, and safeguarding guidelines

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject
• IB PYP training or experience preferred
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (PYP experience an advantage)
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for early childhood/primary education
• Proficient in using educational technology and digital tools
