Fund ControllerA highly regarded, investment-focused asset management firm is seeking a Fund Controller to join its lean, sophisticated finance and operations team. The OpportunityThe firm is a global, long-term investment manager with a concentrated, fundamental value-oriented strategy and a sophisticated institutional investor base. With a highly collaborative team and a lean organizational structure, this individual will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and gain visibility across the firm's broader fund operations.The Fund Controller will report directly to senior finance and operations leadership and will play a hands-on role across the firm's accounting and fund-related activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and execute a broad range of fund accounting and financial reporting responsibilitiesParticipate in the preparation and review of financial statements, NAVs, and related reportingSupport technical accounting matters and complex fund-related transactionsPartner closely with senior leadership on accounting, finance, and operational initiativesHelp identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall efficiencyWork cross-functionally across the organization and gain exposure to a wide range of fund operationsServe as a hands‑on resource who is comfortable getting into the details rather than simply managing from a distanceIdeal BackgroundApproximately 4–8 years of relevant experienceHedge fund experience is requiredExperience in public accounting, private accounting, or a combination of bothCPA strongly preferredStrong technical accounting foundation and excellent attention to detailExposure to multiple investment products/strategies is highly desirableCandidates with some private equity experience will also be consideredDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in a lean, entrepreneurial environmentGenuine \"team over me\" mentalityHighly motivated to learn, take on responsibility, and grow with the organizationComfortable being hands‑on and taking a true roll‑up‑your‑sleeves approachWhy This RoleThis is an opportunity to join a small, high-caliber investment organization where the Fund Controller will not be siloed into a narrow accounting function. xzbcwsv The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to the firm's investment platform, work directly with senior leadership, and have the opportunity to grow alongside the organization.Location:Stamford, CTWork Model:Hybrid — 2 days per week in officeCompensation:Up to approximately $200K total compensation
