Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable In-House Accountant to manage the financial operations of our architectural and interior design practice. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting, project-based financial tracking, vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions Manage day-to-day accounting entries (receipts, payments, journal entries) Reconcile bank statements and cash flows regularly Maintain ledgers, balance sheets, and financial reports

2. Project-Based Financial Tracking

Track project-wise budgets, expenses, and profitability Monitor client payments, advances, and outstanding dues Align vendor payments with project cash flows and timelines Assist in preparing project estimates and cost reports

3. Billing & Invoicing

Generate client invoices as per milestones and agreements Follow up on receivables and ensure timely collections Coordinate with the design and execution team for billing inputs

4. Vendor & Contractor Payments

Manage vendor invoices, verification, and payment scheduling Maintain records of all contractor and supplier transactions Ensure proper documentation for all purchases and expenses

5. Compliance & Taxation

Handle GST filings, TDS deductions, and statutory compliance Coordinate with external CA for audits and filings Ensure all financial records are audit-ready and compliant

6. Financial Planning & Reporting

Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow statements Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting Provide insights on cost control and financial efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5 years of experience (preferably in architecture/interior/design or construction industry) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, Quick Books) Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian taxation norms Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Attributes

Experience working with project-based businesses (interiors, construction, real estate) Strong coordination skills with vendors and internal teams Proactive approach to financial tracking and reporting High level of integrity and confidentiality
