About the Role: Serving as a key financial leader for our regional operations, the Financial Controller will report directly to the APAC Regional Finance Lead while collaborating extensively with the broader APAC finance group. This position requires an autonomous, highly organized professional who excels in time management, analytical problem-solving, and managing multiple priorities within the fast-paced advertising sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning and analysis by formulating budgets, evaluating performance through variance assessments, and delivering comprehensive fiscal reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Direct full-cycle accounting functions—including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger maintenance—ensuring timely month/year-end closures and the accurate preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Guarantee strict adherence to regional and federal financial protocols by managing precise tax filings, maintaining comprehensive audit documentation, and serving as the primary liaison for internal/external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Optimize corporate liquidity and working capital while fulfilling all banking mandates, including routine financial reporting and covenant adherence.
- Assess operating expenses continuously to uncover operational efficiencies and deploy targeted cost-reduction initiatives.
- Cultivate a high-performing finance department and foster cross-functional collaboration, acting as the primary financial partner for vendors, clients, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely aligned discipline.
- Advanced professional credentials such as a CPA, CA, or an MBA are highly advantageous.
- A minimum of a decade of financial management experience, ideally gained within the media, agency, or advertising sectors.
- Demonstrated success directing financial operations within dynamic, high-velocity business environments.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities and rigorous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Capacity to consistently deliver high-quality results against strict deadlines and under pressure.
- Proven ability to guide teams and exercise strong leadership capabilities.
- Technical proficiency with essential software applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint and Excel), as well as enterprise platforms like NSPB or NetSuite.
