Preconstruction Sitework Estimator

Wharton-Smith, Inc., a highly regarded construction company, is seeking qualified candidates for a Preconstruction Sitework Estimator position. This position is located in our Corporate office in Sanford, FL. Primary Responsibilities: Ability to read and review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and other design criteria reports Perform quantity take-off of all sitework components, requiring quantity counts, measurements and determining material types Calculating labor and equipment costs for self performed work for all types of jobsite conditions Ability to identify risks including utility conflicts, dewatering needs, excavation protection and other temporary measures needed for a complete sitework estimate Solicit Subcontractor/Supplier participation via phone and/or E-mail.
