X-Ray Electronics Technical Support Rep

Salary: $70,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements:

• Associates degree in Electronics Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent documented experience in electronics, electrical, and mechanical work
• At least 5 years of experience repairing or servicing electronic equipment, preferably X-ray systems
• Strong technical and electronics background with capital equipment service experience; X-ray experience is preferred
• Proven experience communicating effectively by phone and email
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Proficiency with test instruments such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Ability to accurately document incoming calls in a call management system and maintain complaint records
• Familiarity with Syteline and related database tools
• Experience with basic computer network setup
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Analytical thinking, planning ability, and a strong self-learning mindset
• Customer-focused attitude and the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to lift and move approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to commute to our Niles, IL location and work onsite

• Serve as the first point of contact for dealers requesting product support
• Provide technical assistance by phone and email, including installation, programming, startup, spare part identification, documentation, warranty support, troubleshooting, and equipment crossover support
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical cases, taking ownership through to closure
• Log and manage calls in our call management system and maintain accurate records in our complaint database
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams when escalation support is needed
• Identify quality concerns, collect relevant data, and route issues through the proper channels for resolution
• Stage X-ray equipment on site before shipment, including some assembly and hands-on preparation work
• Support the equipment repair process and advise field service technicians on procedures, parts, and testing
• Visit customer sites when needed to evaluate, start up, or repair equipment and report findings
• Perform repairs according to defined procedures and document the actions taken
• Test equipment functionality, safety, and other required features
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of our products, service practices, and industry developments
• Coordinate dealer visits to customer sites with Field Service Engineers when required
• Participate in our scheduled 24/7 after-hours emergency support coverage
• Carry out other duties as assigned
