Role Description The Accountant role at JEEVMEDIA is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The role involves preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations, and coordinating with external auditors or consultants as needed. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial insights that support decision-making and contribute to the company’s growth in the global and regional creator economy.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking in a corporate or agency environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and regulatory compliance relevant to media or services businesses.
• Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, including variance analysis and cost monitoring.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in media, marketing, or a fast-growing startup environment is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.
