Work from order requirements or specifications to create final control circuitry and program logic using software and engineering calculations. Capable of working independently and may lead customer orders.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical controls/systems for productsWrite PLC, HMI, PC, and other control programsCreate Sequence of Operations, Control Schematics, and Control Panel layout drawings using CAD softwareCreate bills of material and routings for cost estimates and manufacturingCreate owner's manuals, test procedures, and other engineering deliverablesPerform electrical computations for sizing componentsProvide technical support during manufacturingProvide field support as requiredLead Engineer for sales orders: customer interaction, vendor communication, project managementPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge of NFPA 70, National Electric Code, and NFPA 79Ability to troubleshoot electrical control circuitsProficient with AutoCAD, ElectricalLeadership skills for Lead Engineer roleGeneral knowledge of PLC, HMI, and PC-based control hardware/softwareAbility to collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teamsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree with 1 year experience or Associate's Degree in electrical engineering with 4 years relevant experience.Computer SkillsProficient with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorksProficient with AutoCADProficient with Microsoft Excel
