Hiring: Database Testing SME / ETL QA Engineer
Are you passionate about ensuring data quality and preventing production issues? We're looking for a Mid-to-Senior QA professional with strong Database Testing and ETL expertise to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Validate data integrity across databases, ETL/batch jobs, and integrations
✅ Test stored procedures, triggers, transformations, and selection logic
✅ Build reconciliation and data quality checks (counts, joins, comparisons)
✅ Validate incremental/delta processing, reprocessing, and restart safety (idempotency)
✅ Investigate issues related to locking, deadlocks, and transaction handling
✅ Create reusable SQL validation scripts and detailed defect reports
✅ Collaborate with Engineering and SRE teams to improve release confidence
What We're Looking For
✔ 5–8+ years of QA/Data Quality Testing experience with strong database expertise
✔ Advanced SQL skills (joins, aggregations, CTEs, window functions)
✔ Experience with stored procedures, triggers, ETL/ELT, and batch processes
✔ Understanding of transactions, locking, and deadlocks
✔ Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
⭐ Nice to Have
• SQL Server, Postgre SQL, Oracle, or My SQL experience
• API testing (Postman, REST Assured)
• Python scripting for automated validation
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions)
• Data pipeline tools (SSIS, Informatica, Airflow, dbt, ADF)
Work hours - ET Business hours, 5 PM IST onwards.
