Position OverviewA growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee distribution center operations, financial performance, safety, and continuous improvement. This leader will drive operational efficiency, develop high-performing teams, and ensure exceptional customer service while meeting financial and productivity goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily 3PL distribution center operations, including warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, and value-added services.Lead, develop, and motivate warehouse managers, supervisors, and frontline teams.Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service.Manage budgets, labor, variable expenses, and financial performance to achieve established targets.Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, safety, customer service, and profitability.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.Leverage WMS, automation, and operational technology to improve processes and performance.Partner with sales and account management teams to support customer retention, satisfaction, and business growth.Develop operational strategies aligned with broader company objectives and growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, or 3PL operations.5+ years in a senior operations leadership role.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or green) requiredProven experience managing high-volume fulfillment or distribution center operations.Demonstrated success leading large teams and driving measurable improvements in productivity, cost, and service.Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, labor management, and operational performance.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and warehouse management systems.Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. xzbcwsv Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant logistics and financial systems.
