Testing Technician

Electrical Testing candidates with a solid electrical testing background and relay knowledge are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power-distribution equipment rated from 208V to 38kV. Test, configure, and troubleshoot protective relays, control circuits, circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment. Review relay settings, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and wiring drawings. Utilize electrical test equipment and manufacturer-specific software to verify equipment performance and settings. Document test results, equipment settings, deficiencies, and corrective actions using PowerDB and other reporting tools. Coordinate with customers, OEM representatives, contractors, and project teams to complete field assignments safely and efficiently. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with electrical power-distribution equipment and field troubleshooting. Background in electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, or OEM field service. Ability to read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment drawings. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn testing and configuration software. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 50%, including occasional out-of-state projects. Willingness to work occasional extended hours, nights, or weekends based on project requirements. Highly Preferred Experience Protective relay testing, settings, configuration, or troubleshooting. NETA acceptance testing or maintenance testing. OEM field service experience with Schneider Electric, Siemens, Eaton, ABB/GE, or similar manufacturers. Secondary injection testing, circuit-breaker testing, PowerDB, or related electrical testing software. NETA certification or other relevant electrical testing credentials. Compensation
