This is an onsite position that will require travel between locations. The organization has 5 acute care hospitals, over 100 physician practices, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, and Hospital at Home divisions.Lee Health is proud to be named on the Forbes list of Americas Best-in-State Employers for the second year in a row Summary The Manager of Employee Relations & Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Lee Healths Employee Relations team and drives cross-functional HR integration initiatives associated with M&A project management. This high visibility role delivers consultative guidance and robust project management to drive system-wide people strategies. By aligning employee relations with organizational objectives, this position ensures seamless resource coordination and best-in-class support during complex organizational acquisitions. Leading a team of Employee Relations Consultants, the Manager drives the consistent application of Lee Health policies, procedures, and federal/state employment laws system wide. This proactive leader translates employment law trends, regulatory updates, and performance metrics into actionable strategy. By providing leadership to improve Employee Relations Consultant performance and continually optimizing internal procedures, the Manager mitigates organizational risk, safeguards compliance, and aligns employee relations practices with overarching organizational goals. The Manager guides the Employee Relations Team in the design and delivery of system-wide employee relations training programs to build leadership capability across the organization. By analyzing workforce data, this leader proactively identifies systemic risks, retention vulnerabilities, and operational threats. The Manager serves as a trusted advisor, deploying targeted interventions and proactive retention strategies in lockstep with HR Strategic Business Partners and executive leadership. Serving as the primary HR architect for mergers and acquisitions, the Manager coordinates cross-functional workstreams across all HR Centers of Excellence (COEs). This leader coordinates resources across the full integration lifecycle from pre-close due diligence to post-close stabilization encompassing cultural integration, policy alignment, talent retention, total rewards, and onboarding. Acting as the critical liaison between operational leadership, HR and specialists, the Manager mitigates transition friction to deliver a seamless employee experience. Requirements Education: Bachelors degree is required. Experience: Minimum of five years experience with employee relations, project management, and merger and acquisition coordination. Experience leading complex, cross functional initiatives required. Certification: SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) or HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute) certification required. Project Management and Change Management preferred. License: N/A Other: Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, project coordination, critical thinking, and facilitation skills. Knowledge of HR functions (compensation, benefits, talent management) and M&A processes. Experience with project management, quality improvement, and the ability to lead change through innovation and relationships.
