Technical Engagement Lead

Saras Analytics · India

FULL TIME

Job Description

The Role

You'll own a portfolio of existing client accounts, reporting to a Sr Account Manager. Your job is to run each engagement — requirements gathered, scope signed off, work delivered, the client's team trained and using it — landing on the committed date and at the quality bar the client expects, every time, while stewarding your accounts' ongoing migrations. You coordinate the analysts and a cross-functional team on each engagement without reporting lines, and escalate deviations directly to leadership, early.

This role is a designed transition: within two quarters you move into an FDE or AM seat — the landing is decided with the leadership team based on where you've demonstrated the most strength. The move is part of the role's design, not a contingency.

The Bar

Client satisfaction is the top priority for this role, achieved through delivery excellence — project management and technical quality. Every engagement lands on time and at the quality bar clients expect, the client genuinely well taken care of throughout, and the work actually put to use — and the measure is whether the client ends the engagement a promoter: someone who'd recommend Saras unprompted.

What You'll Own

  1. Land every engagement on time and at the quality bar clients expect. No quietly cutting corners to hit a deadline.
  2. Run the full cycle — requirements to sign-off and adoption. Gather business requirements, get explicit sign-off on scope and success criteria, deliver the work, train the client's team to actually use it, and confirm it's being used.
  3. Build a delivery sprint plan that leaves no room for ambiguity. Every cross-functional team member knows exactly what success looks like for their task — ownership, success criteria, and dates that mean something.
  4. Keep the client genuinely well taken care of. Clear communication, no surprises, and the hard conversations handled directly and calmly when something's off track.
  5. Coordinate the analysts and cross-functional partners on each engagement — without reporting lines. Catch problems early, remove blockers before they impact deadlines, and escalate deviations directly to leadership the moment a commitment is at risk.
  6. Steward your accounts' ongoing migrations. Keep them moving on schedule, and keep the client confident through them.

What Winning Looks Like

First 90 days: You've picked up the delivery cadence on your accounts, you know the book and the state of every migration cold, and you know exactly where each engagement stands against its committed dates and quality bar.

Steady state: Every engagement you own lands on the agreed date, at the agreed quality bar, the client can point to it being used, and your clients would recommend Saras — and by the end of quarter two you've demonstrated the strengths that decide your FDE or AM landing.

Who Thrives Here

Any of these backgrounds can get you in the room. Across all of them, you've run multiple full cycles of requirements gathering, sign-off, and usage.

  • You've managed technical delivery or implementation projects — data, analytics, software, or systems — from requirements through go-live, for 5+ years.
  • You're comfortable working hands-on with SQL, either Tableau or Power BI, or data pipelines — enough to manage the delivery credibly and speak the team's technical language.
  • You've held client conversations about scope, value, or renewals — enough commercial footing to see how delivery becomes revenue.
  • You've conducted product or platform trainings directly with clients — comfortable being the face of adoption, not just the person who ships the work.

It's an even stronger fit if you also bring:

  • Hands-on experience building AI agents using tools like Claude Code to improve delivery efficiency.
  • You've built production-grade dashboards as React-native web apps, using AI-assisted development.
  • You hold a PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent project-management credential.
  • Experience in pre-sales at an analytics or consulting firm (2+ years).
