At NewYork-Presbyterian, oncology nurses are at the forefront of a bold new era in compassionate care. Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only five National Cancer Institute Designated-Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York State. We recently delivered intra-arterial Avastin directly into a malignant brain tumor, the first time this approach has ever been used. We pioneered use of low-dose CT scanning for early detection of lung cancer, and more breakthroughs are on the way. Here, courageous nurses administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients, and educate families, all while serving as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams.

This is a full-time position working 4 days/week Sunday-Friday for the Day Hospital at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Three (3) shifts are 8:30am-7:30pm and one (1) shift is 8:30am-5:00pm.

Preferred Criteria

• Chemotherapy Administration Certification

• Experience administering chemotherapy

• Oncology Nursing Certification

• Acute care RN experience in Oncology, BMT/Cellular Therapy, and Infusion

Required Criteria

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)

• Current New York State RN Licensure

• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association
