This role performs a variety of basic computed tomography (CT) procedures.
Baylor Shift:
Maximize your time off with our dedicated Baylor Shift (weekend/compressed) schedule!
Work just 2 days a weekcovering weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)24 hours total and receive full time pay equivalent to 40 hours, along with 5 days off to recharge.
Perfect for radiology professionals seeking exceptional work-life balance.
Enjoy three weekends off each year.
What you will do
- Perform basic computed tomography techniques and examinations:
- Conducts a variety of basic computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, portable CT scans and post-processing.
- Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation:
- Operate CT equipment and select technical factors.
- Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information.
- Document all related data.
- Adhere to ALARA standards
- Other Responsibilities:
- Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
- Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
- Resolve and escalate complex issues.
- Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
- Subject to on-call status including weekends, holidays and other shifts as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Technical Diploma Radiology Program Required
Experience Qualifications
- pediatric experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - within 12 months - Required or
- Computed Tomography (CT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board - within 12 months - Required and
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). - upon hire - Required
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging (Required proficiency)
- Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) (Required proficiency)
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations (Required proficiency)
- Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (Required proficiency)
- Excellent interpersonal skills (Required proficiency)
- Excellent time management skills (Required proficiency)
- Excellent organizational skills (Required proficiency)
