Enterprise Architecture:AWS & Hybrid Cloud: Strong experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS.Expertise in RHEL and Windows Server.IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.Middleware & Integration: IBM MQ and enterprise messaging systems.Networking: WAN, LAN, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and network security.Security Architecture: Identity and access management, infrastructure security, and enterprise security controls.Disaster Recovery: Business continuity, fault tolerance, backup, and recovery strategies.
Position Summary: The Senior Technology Architect will provide technical andarchitectural leadership across a complex enterprise environment spanning on-premises infrastructure and AWS cloud services. The role will define technologydirection, evaluate solutions, guide modernization and cloud adoption, and ensurearchitectures meet requirements for security, resiliency, scalability, performance, andoperational supportability. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in thefinancial services sector.Key Functions and Responsibilities: Define current-state, target-state, and transition architectures for enterpriseinfrastructure and platforms. Lead architecture reviews for new solutions, infrastructure changes,modernization initiatives, and cloud migrations. Develop technology standards, reference architectures, roadmaps, andarchitecture decision records. Design and review hybrid architectures integrating on-premises environmentswith AWS. Provide architectural guidance across (list is not exhaustive):o RHEL, Windows Servero IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Servero IBM MQ and enterprise integrationo WAN, LAN, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and network securityo Infrastructure security, identity, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery Evaluate technology alternatives and provide recommendations based on risk,security, resiliency, performance, cost, and maintainability. Identify technical debt, lifecycle risks, single points of failure, and opportunitiesfor modernization and simplification. Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, networking,database, middleware, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations to bothtechnical teams and senior leadership.Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, orequivalent experience. 10+ years of enterprise technology experience, including significant architectureor technical leadership experience. Strong experience designing hybrid on-premises and AWS environments Strong knowledge of AWS, RHEL, Windows Server, DB2, SQL Server, IBM MQ,networking, and enterprise security. Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, security architecture, andtechnology modernization. Strong systems-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to develop architecture diagrams, technical standards, roadmaps, andexecutive-level recommendations.Qualifications Desired: AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent certification. Prior software development experience, including familiarity with the full systemsdevelopment lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Kubernetes/OpenShift, orsimilar technologies. Experience with cloud governance, observability, FinOps, or enterprise cloudlanding zones. Experience leading large-scale cloud migration or infrastructure modernizationprograms.Physical Demands and Work Environment: The working environment is generallyfavorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous orunpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within anoffice environment, with standard office equipment available.
