Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and professional retired law enforcement officer professional with extensive security experience to provide security at a real estate development and investment firm in Times Square. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe and secure environment for tenants, employees, visitors, and property while monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and following established security procedures.
ScheduleMonday–Friday, 3PM -11PM (could be full-time, or part-time, 2-3 shifts)
Essential Job DutiesMonitor assigned patrol areas and designated perimeters to maintain a safe and secure environment.Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and breaches in accordance with established procedures.Evaluate and respond to alerts or incidents in the surrounding area professionally and in accordance with company protocols.Notify the Supervisor on Duty when situations require escalation.Assist fellow security officers with de-escalation when appropriate and in accordance with company procedures.Follow established procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident reporting.Maintain a professional and respectful presence while ensuring the safety and security of the building, tenants, visitors, and property.Accurately record scheduled shifts using the company scheduling platform, including clock-ins and clock-outs.Adhere to all company policies, service expectations, and operating standards.Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position RequirementsMust be a retired law enforcement officerValid New York State Security Armed Guard License.Must possess a valid New York State concealed carry permit.Minimum of five years of security guard experienceCompletion of the NYS-required 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course.Valid CPR/AED certification preferred.Strong observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond professionally to security incidents.Exceptional work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
The expected hiring rate for this position is $42.00 per hour.
