Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Mineral Wells, TX

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Ventamatic does NOT pay for relocation.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor assists in the completion of the day to day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, production equipment and machinery, including, but not limited to HVAC, lighting systems, plant machinery and production lines, grounds keeping, security, and overall facility appearance. This position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain the building/facility, and production equipment and machinery in the plant. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing and overseeing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs and in a manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

  • At the direction of the assistant manager assign daily work to the tech staff and is responsible for following up and verifying task completion.
  • Will be responsible for leading major machine repair, modification or install projects as directed by the department manager.
  • Assist techs within the department with problem solving or general training when necessary.
  • Will be required to accommodate outside vendors or contractors that are on site to perform repairs, evaluate issues etc.
  • May be asked to speak with vendors or machine manufactures over the phone or email for general assistance or problem solving.
  • Monitor current PM programs and ensure they are being completed on time. Helps develop the maintenance staff by recruiting, selecting, training and mentoring new employees.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in an advanced industrial maintenance tech role. Any previous industrial maintenance leadership experience is a plus.
  • Must have through knowledge and respect of OSHA and company safety polices. Must be able to perform LOTO, hot work and any internal policies.
  • Must be highly proficient in all electrical services such as new installs, modifications, and troubleshooting in both single (120V, 277V) and three phase (208V, 240V, 480V). Electrician license preferred.
  • High level of experience with all forms of control wiring in both DC and AC currents.
  • Familiar with PLC and servo motor controls programming and problem solving
  • Experience with VFD motor controls installing and programming. (Knowledge of ABB drives a plus)
  • Possess a high level of mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair or fabricate parts when deemed necessary. Must be proficient in pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Be familiar with all form of material handling equipment. Forklifts, overhead cranes etc.
  • Be able to problem solve when under pressure.
  • Be a self-starter in all aspects.
  • Must be mobile within the Mineral Wells and Ft Worth area.
  • Have the ability to be on call after hours for emergencies.
  • Must possess strong people skills with the ability to resolve interpersonal issues that may arise.
  • Any outside training or certifications in the above categories are a plus. Especially in the electrical and mechanical fields.
  • Any familiarity with steel metal fabrication equipment is a major plus. Such as stamping presses, coil feeding equipment, brake presses etc.
  • Experience with Link, Wintriss, Jobber Plus & Amada turret punch and brake press controls is a major plus.
