Medicus has partnered with a hospital in central Kentucky that has an opportunity for a General Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7a-7a
Admission Volume: ~3 per day
Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Duties: Hospital call coverage, including emergency ED calls, inpatient rounding, and procedures
Required Procedures: General surgery and some GI
Support Staff: OR call team, hospitalist, inpatient nursing
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
PALS certification preferred
Paid travel & expenses
