Application Support Analyst

Salary: $40,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for experience in application support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, or a similar technical/analytical function.
• We need someone comfortable reviewing and interpreting application logs, stack traces, and error messages, ideally in a Java-based environment.
• We value strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnosing issues and persistence in finding answers.
• We require excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings into clear business language, and vice versa.
• Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, ERP and financial systems, or content management systems is an advantage.
• We prefer candidates with a basic understanding of databases.
• Nice-to-have experience includes using help desk or ticketing systems.
• Additional value comes from exposure to databases and applications, including the ability to investigate system behavior.
• SQL knowledge is beneficial, especially for writing queries to examine data integrity and validate outcomes.
• Experience with QA methodologies is a plus.
• ERP business domain knowledge is also desirable.

• We receive, assess, and prioritize incoming application support tickets from internal users and our help desk.
• We investigate reported issues by examining application and server logs, querying databases, and reproducing problems in a controlled setting.
• We evaluate the validity and impact of incidents, then document our findings clearly for the development team.
• We work directly with end users to gather context, clarify needs, and determine whether an alternate workflow or solution could address the underlying request.
• We hold occasional meetings with users via Teams or in person at our Rush City headquarters.
• We partner with developers to deliver well-documented, reproducible bug reports that explain business impact.
• We look for recurring problem patterns and recommend improvements to processes or systems.
• We support QA and regression testing after application updates or deployments.
• We maintain organized records of known issues, workarounds, and resolutions.
