Dispatcher – Dump Trucks & Dump Trailers
Location: In PersonSchedule: Monday–Friday, plus weekend availability as neededStart Time: Early mornings required
We are seeking a strong, experienced Dispatcher to manage the daily flow of our dump truck and trailer operation. This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role that requires someone who can communicate clearly, think quickly, stay organized under pressure, and keep drivers moving efficiently throughout the day.
The right person for this position knows how to balance customer needs, driver communication, equipment availability, traffic issues, and jobsite changes without losing control of the day. What You’ll DoDispatch and coordinate daily work for dump truck and trailer driversCommunicate with drivers throughout the day by radio, GPS messaging, tablet, and phoneMonitor routes, progress, delays, and changing jobsite conditions in real timeAdjust schedules and assignments quickly to keep work moving efficientlyCommunicate with customers regarding scheduling, service requests, and changesCoordinate with the Shop Manager on truck availability, repairs, and maintenance needsPrepare and post daily driver schedulesAudit previous day tickets and organize supporting documentation for billingMatch the correct equipment for each jobAlert drivers to traffic issues, weather concerns, jobsite hazards, and road conditionsAssist with reviewing applications, onboarding drivers, and recruiting qualified candidates
What We’re Looking ForStrong verbal communication skills and confidence leading drivers throughout the dayAbility to multitask and make sound decisions in a high-pressure environmentHigh level of organization and attention to detailStrong sense of urgency and follow-throughProfessional, respectful communication with both customers and coworkersDependable, self-motivated, and able to take initiativeMicrosoft Office proficiencyExperience with Samsara, TruckIT, or similar GPS/reporting systems preferred
Preferred ExperienceAt least 1 year of dispatch experience in dump trucks, dump trailers, construction hauling, or similar operations preferredMilitary logistics experience is also valued
