This is an exciting opportunity for a proven highly motivated, professional, customer focused Automotive Service Manager to make an immediate impact. The Service Manager will have experience building a high-performing service department, develop technicians, increase service and maximize overall fixed operations profitability.  MUST HAVE SERVICE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE CENTER

Position is located in Ronkonkoma, NY

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Automotive Service Manager experience
• Proven success managing a high-volume automotive service department.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop service technicians.
• Strong knowledge of service sales, warranty, maintenance, and repair operations
• Proven ability to improve service revenue, gross profit, and customer retention.
• Strong understanding of technician productivity, efficiency, hours sold, and shop capacity.
• Experience managing department budgets, expenses, staffing, and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to create and analyze reports and service KPIs and turn results into action.
• Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to resolve escalated concerns.

Lead the Service Department:

• Oversee all daily operations of the service department.
• Lead, coach, and motivate Technicians.
• Along with the Store Manager, establish department goals and performance expectations.
• Conduct regular service meetings and performance reviews.
• Develop strategies to increase service sales and profitability.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and maximize department productivity.

Monitor and improve key service metrics, including:

• Service Revenue
• Technician Productivity
• Technician Efficiency
• Warranty Performance
• Maintenance Sales
• Departmental Gross Profit

The salary range for the position of Service Manager is a base salary of $80,000 - $110,000 annually PLUS eligibility for additional incentives. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
