Our Commissioning division partners with clients across data centers and mission-critical environments to validate that systems are designed, installed, and performing at the highest level. <br /> <br /> <br /> We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high-performance environments. </p><p> Why This Role Stands Out </p><p></p> This is a position for someone who: <ul><li> Owns system performance from design through execution </li><li> Understands how complex mechanical systems operate as a whole </li><li> Can identify and solve issues before they impact operations </li></ul><p> You will work on large-scale, mission-critical data center projects where performance, reliability, and precision are non-negotiable. </p><p> What You will Do </p><p> Project Leadership &amp; Execution <br /> Lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of a data center build to include L1-L5 <br /> Execute functional testing, witness testing, and system validation <br /> Manage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectations <br /> <br /> <br /> Technical Expertise &amp; Problem Solving <br /> Evaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systems <br /> Troubleshoot system performance issues <br /> Review design documentation <br /> <br /> <br /> Client Engagement <br /> Lead meetings and communicate findings <br /> Build relationships with clients and contractors <br /> <br /> <br /> Operational Contributions <br /> Complete reports and manage time and expenses <br /> <br /> <br /> Team Development <br /> Mentor junior engineers and support training </p><p> What You Bring </p><p> Core Qualifications <br /> Degree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field <br /> 5+ years experience in commissioning engineering <br /> 3+ years of Data center experience required <br /> <br /> <br /> Technical Capabilities <br /> Experience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems <br /> Ability to read construction documents <br /> <br /> <br /> Professional Skills <br /> Strong communication and problem-solving skills <br /> <br /> <br /> Physical Requirements <br /> Ability to work in field environments and lift 30 lbs <br /> <br /> <br /> Preferred <br /> EIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience, Facility Grid </p><p> Travel Requirements </p><p> Travel to project sites as needed based on project demands. </p><p> Why FST </p><p> At FST, we value execution, accountability, and expertise.
