Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 2 Days In-Office)
A growing SaaS company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee monthly close, financial reporting, and technical accounting while leading a team of three in New York City. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financials, strengthening accounting processes, and supporting the company’s continued growth in partnership with senior finance leadership.
ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger review.Oversee financial reporting and the preparation and review of financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis.Research and apply US GAAP to complex accounting matters, including technical accounting assessments and documentation outside of SEC reporting.Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three accounting professionals, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and timely deliverables.Improve accounting policies, internal controls, and workflows to support scalable operations and reliable financial reporting.Coordinate with external auditors and collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and other departments on accounting-related initiatives.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including monthly close and financial reporting.Prior experience managing or mentoring accounting staff.Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting, excluding SEC reporting requirements.SaaS or technology industry experience preferred. xzbcwsv Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a growing business environment.
