Associate BuyerAnthony’s Ladies Apparel | West Palm Beach, FL | Full-Time, On-SiteMerchandising / Buying | Associate LevelAnthony’s Ladies Apparel, a Florida fashion retailer since 1895, is looking for an Associate Buyer to help decide what ends up on our racks and on our website. With 12 stores across Florida, a growing online business, and a loyal community of women 55+, we are a fourth-generation family company that still moves quickly.Reporting to the Buyer, you will work across category strategy, assortment planning, vendor relationships, and performance analysis for all 12 stores and e-commerce. This is a hands-on role on a small team. You will not spend your days pulling reports nobody reads. You will be in the numbers, working with our vendors, and part of the conversation when decisions get made, with more ownership as you earn it.What you may expect in a day as Associate Buyer:•     Dig into sales, margin, inventory, sell-through, weeks of supply, and turn at the category and SKU level, and flag what is working and what is not.•     Help build and maintain assortments based on what our customer actually buys, not just what is trending.•     Spot assortment gaps across stores and e-commerce before our customer does.•     Track product life cycles and bring the Buyer recommendations on newness, replenishment, and markdowns.•     Help evaluate new brands and products alongside the Buyer.•     Enter allocations, markdowns, and transfers accurately and on time.•     Build reports in Excel and our internal systems, then turn them into clear recommendations for the Merchandising team.•     Review promotional and markdown results and say plainly whether they paid off.•     Keep vendors moving on order status, samples, images, and product details for website setup.•     Handle item setup, ticketing, pricing, and product development tasks with the Buyer’s guidance.•     Prep materials for vendor meetings and market appointments.•     Partner with our e-commerce team so product information and presentation look right and sound like us.•     Help roll out new product launches and assortment changes across every store and online.

Necessary Skills:•     1–3 years as an Assistant Buyer, Assistant Category Manager, Associate Buyer, or in a related merchandising or planning role.•     Experience in apparel, specialty retail, or fashion a plus.•     A solid grasp of retail math: sales, margin, inventory, sell-through, turn, pricing, and markdowns.•     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.•     Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.•     Good written and verbal communication.•     Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced week without dropping any of them.•     Comfortable working across Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, E-Commerce, Marketing, and Operations.•     Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
This position is not for you if:•     You want to pick product on instinct and never look at the numbers.•     You only want to work on the fun parts of buying.•     You think a markdown or allocation deadline is a suggestion.•     You would rather be handed a finished plan than help build one.•     You do not live within a reasonable commute of our West Palm Beach office.
