PainterThis role focuses on preparing and finishing specialized equipment using a variety of industrial painting techniques. You will clean, sand, and prime surfaces, apply paint with precision, and ensure all finishes meet quality and safety standards. Working closely with the production team, you will help deliver high-quality, consistent results in a fast-paced industrial environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces of equipment for painting by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure a clean, even base for paint application.Fill and smooth imperfections on surfaces to achieve a uniform finish prior to painting.Apply paint finishes using various techniques, including spraying, rolling, and brushing, to meet specified finishes and color schemes.Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve required shades, finishes, and design specifications.Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to verify quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications, promptly addressing any imperfections or deviations.Properly clean, maintain, and store painting equipment, including spray guns, brushes, and related tools, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate maintenance team in a timely manner.Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with company policies.Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and efficient completion of painting tasks in alignment with production schedules.Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate work, resolve issues, and maintain smooth workflow.Operate and work within a paint booth environment, following all operational and safety procedures.Essential SkillsProven experience as a Painter, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Proficiency in paint preparation, including cleaning, sanding, priming, and filling imperfections on equipment surfaces.Strong skills in using spray guns, paint sprayers, and other painting tools and equipment.Ability to apply paint using spraying, rolling, and brushing techniques with consistent, high-quality results.Experience working in industrial painting environments, including paint booths.Detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of color, finish, and design.Familiarity with automotive painting techniques and processes.Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to painting activities and handling hazardous materials.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and coordinate with production teams.Effective communication skills to interact with coworkers and other departments.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and lifting.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Certification or formal training in painting techniques.Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments using paint booths and specialized equipment.Strong problem-solving skills to identify and correct paint defects and surface imperfections.Ability to follow detailed instructions, specifications, and quality standards.Reliability and strong work ethic in meeting production timelines and quality expectations.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a competitive compensation package, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, and a 401(k) program with company match. You will work with industrial painting tools, including spray guns and paint sprayers, in a controlled booth environment designed for specialized and automotive-style finishes. The position involves standing for extended periods and performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, and lifting. Safety protocols are an integral part of daily operations, particularly in handling paints, solvents, and other materials used in industrial painting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Graham, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
