Design Engineer

• Design components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
• Develop and test prototypes and new products
• Perform R&D on new technologies, materials, and products
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to improve design and reliability
• Create and update drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
• Coordinate with manufacturing, production, quality, and engineering teams
• Make design modifications and component substitutions
• Support products from development through production

Requirements:

• 7+ years of product development, manufacturing, and production experience, preferably automotive
• Strong SolidWorks and 3D design skills
• GD&T, engineering drawings, dimensioning, and schematics
• Product development and mass production experience
• Experience with PDM and engineering documentation
