Forward Deployed Engineer / Engineering & Delivery Lead

ELAI AgriTech is building technology to make agriculture more data-driven, intelligent, and sustainable. We're now looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can own the last mile between "we built it" and "the customer can actually use it."

This isn't a traditional management role. It's not a pure coding role either. It's for someone who can:

Dive into backend, frontend, infra, and architecture problems and actually fix them. Help take our product from MVP → stable, scalable SaaS Mentor and level up our existing engineering team. Talk to customers, translate their needs into technical solutions, and get the team executing spot blockers early and clear them — not escalate them.

What we're looking for:

7+ years of hands-on software/technology experience, ideally in startups or fast-moving product environments

Strong backend + architecture chops, comfortable with cloud, APIs, databases, and distributed systems

Experience taking products from prototype to production

A track record of mentoring engineers and leading delivery — not just writing code

Bonus points for AgriTech, ClimateTech, AI/ML, geospatial, IoT, or SaaS experience
