The School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE) at the University of Arizona (U of A) invites applications for a Research Program Administrator for Rangeland Stewardship. The Research Program Administrator will play a central role in supporting a transdisciplinary program dedicated to sustainable rangeland stewardship across Arizona. The successful candidate will help ensure that the program activities run smoothly, align with strategic goals, and effectively translate science into actionable stewardship practices.

This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist withcoordination of day-to-day operational and administrative activities.
  • AssistPrincipal Investigator with special projects.
  • Assist withcoordination of research and outreach activities.
  • Supportfaculty, staff, and partners working on rangeland sustainability, naturalresource management, public land policy, fire ecology, invasive plantmanagement, and emerging biological threats.
  • Maintaincompliance with financial and accomplishment reporting requirements forprojects.
  • Track andmanage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Monitorsubaward and vendor payments, purchase requisitions, and other projectfinancial transactions to ensure adherence to sponsor and university policies.
  • Organize anddocument project meetings and collaborative activities, and prepare quarterlyreports using university financial systems, Excel, and Smartsheet.
  • Organizefieldwork logistics, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support projectdeliverables through data collection, preparation, communication and reportingactivities.
  • Maintain datasystems and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitatecommunication among university researchers, agency collaborators, and communitypartners.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability tomanage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities.
  • Ability totranslate scientific information for non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent oraland written communication skills for academic and non-academic audiences.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy .
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and tracking project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating logistics for fieldwork, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and collaborative processes among various stakeholders groups.
  • Experience maintaining project documentation, data repositories, and reporting systems.
  • Experience developing technical reports, outreach materials, and grant deliverables.
