Position: Part-Time InternshipPay: $17/hour+Hours: 10–15 hours per weekSchedule: Flexible scheduleReports To: Owner About the Opportunity Mighty Dog Roofing of West Pittsburgh is looking for a creative, motivated, and outgoing Social Media & Digital Content Intern to help us grow our social media presence and tell the story of our local business. We’re looking for someone who is interested in digital content creation, social media, marketing, and business analytics and wants hands-on experience that goes beyond simply scheduling posts. This is a hands-on, creative role. You’ll have the opportunity to get out into the field, capture photos and videos, showcase our projects, highlight our team, and help bring the personality of Mighty Dog Roofing to life online. You’ll work directly with the owner, gaining exposure to both the creative and analytical sides of marketing and learning how marketing efforts connect to real business results. Pay & Schedule$17 per hour10–15 hours per weekFlexible schedule designed to work well around school or other commitmentsHours may vary based on content needs, job-site schedules, and local eventsSome daytime availability is preferred for capturing job-site and team contentGas/mileage reimbursement provided for approved work-related travel What You’ll Do Social Media & Content CreationCreate engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social platformsCapture photos and videos of roofing, siding, windows, doors, and other projectsCreate Reels, Stories, short-form videos, and other social contentCapture behind-the-scenes moments and day-to-day business activitiesShowcase our team, customers, projects, and community involvementHelp develop the personality, voice, and visual identity of Mighty Dog RoofingCome up with creative and engaging content ideasStay up to date on social media trends, sounds, formats, and best practices  Field Content Visit local job sites to capture before-and-after content and project progressPhotograph completed projects and transformationsCapture authentic moments with our team in the fieldHelp tell the story behind our projects and the customers we serveAttend occasional local events or community activities to capture content  Marketing & AnalyticsHelp develop and maintain a social media content calendarMonitor social media performance and engagementTrack which types of content perform bestReview analytics and make recommendations for future contentLearn how social media and marketing contribute to brand awareness, leads, and business growthAssist with broader marketing initiatives as needed Who We’re Looking ForThis position would be a great fit for someone who: Is studying or interested in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Advertising, Business, or a related fieldIs interested in pursuing a career in social media, digital marketing, content creation, or brand marketingLoves creating content and being creativeHas a strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trendsEnjoys photography and/or videographyIs comfortable being out in the field and interacting with peopleHas strong communication skillsIs organized and dependableCan work independently and take initiativeIs willing to try new ideas and think outside the boxWants to build a real portfolio of professional work  Transportation RequirementReliable transportation is required. Because this is a hands-on role, you will regularly travel to local job sites, customer projects, and community events to capture content. Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s licenseMust be comfortable traveling throughout the West Pittsburgh/Sewickley service areaGas/mileage reimbursement will be provided for approved work-related travel Experience & Skills Experience with any of the following is a plus: Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Photography, VideographyVideo editing, Social media management, Digital marketing, Google Analytics or social media analytics. Previous professional experience is not required.
