Department Overview OHSU Mother Baby Unit (MBU) nurses provide high-quality, innovative, compassionate, and family-centered care to patients and their families. The Mother Baby Unit is a 27-bed unit that provides postpartum, antepartum, and gynecologic nursing care for low- and high-risk populations. Function/Duties of Position Intermediate care is provided to patients with complications and generally utilizes a 2 patient: 1 RN ratio care. Our mission is to deliver family-centered, culturally responsive, high-quality, safe, and equitable care to every patient. Care is provided to postpartum mothers and their newborns, antepartum patients, and surgical gynecologic patients, including those with complex medical conditions and comorbidities.
