I'm currently conducting a search for a Director of Tax with a Top 50 law firm to lead its U.S. and international tax function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced tax professional with deep partnership tax expertise and a blend of public accounting and in-house experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the firm's U.S. and international tax strategy, compliance, planning, and risk management functions.Oversee complex partnership tax matters, including partner reporting, Schedule K-1s, PTET, multistate compliance, and withholding obligations.Manage international tax planning, transfer pricing, treaty matters, and cross-border structuring initiatives.Advise executive leadership on tax implications of strategic business decisions.Lead federal, state, local, and international tax audits and controversy matters.Drive tax technology, automation, governance, and process improvement initiatives.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing tax team. xzbcwsv
QualificationsCPA required12+ years of progressive tax experienceCombination of public accounting and industry experience preferredDeep expertise in partnership taxation, pass-through entities, and multistate taxExperience with large, complex partnerships strongly preferredPrior leadership experience building and managing tax teamsInternational tax experience preferred
CompensationBase Salary: $230,000 - $340,000Annual BonusComprehensive Benefits Package401(k) with Company MatchGenerous PTO
