Licensed Mental Health Counselor

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide individual, family and group psychotherapy and counseling. Conduct intake evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans. Consult with and make referrals to clinical psychiatrist as clinically indicated. Act as patient advocate in securing services related to patients’ social, environmental and psychological needs utilizing community agencies. Provide crisis intervention services for psychological problems as needed during the regular work schedule. Participate in the on-call rotation schedule within the Behavioral Health department. Provide consultation to the Syracuse Community Health providers on mental health aspects of patient care. Participate in clinical supervision, including Limited Permit Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Mental Health Counselor I
