Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Network & Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise cloud networking solutions within Microsoft Azure. This role will be responsible for maintaining secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments, implementing Zero Trust security controls, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and compliance of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure networking, cloud security, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support Azure networking infrastructure, including Virtual Networks (VNETs), VPN Gateways, network segmentation, and hybrid cloud connectivity solutions.Monitor, maintain, and optimize secure connections between Azure cloud environments and on-premises systems.Configure, administer, and maintain Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), routing policies, and network security gateways.Implement and support Zero Trust security principles across cloud and enterprise network environments.Partner with Cloud Architects and infrastructure teams on cloud modernization initiatives, network transformations, and deployment of new services.Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, routing, and security issues across cloud and enterprise environments.Participate in security assessments, vulnerability remediation efforts, audit preparations, and compliance activities.Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to support cloud-to-on-premises integrations and connectivity requirements.Support and secure web applications, cloud-hosted services, and enterprise systems leveraging security platforms such as CrowdStrike.Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, security configurations, and operational procedures.Recommend and implement infrastructure, networking, and security improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, availability, and compliance.Participate in incident response activities and provide operational support for critical infrastructure services.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and cloud networking environments.Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure Networking services.Strong experience configuring and supporting:Azure Virtual Networks (VNETs)Azure VPN GatewayAzure FirewallAzure Route TablesNetwork Security Groups (NSGs)Azure Load BalancersPrivate Endpoints and Private LinkExperience designing and supporting hybrid cloud networking between Azure and on-premises environments.Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and network security best practices.Experience with network security gateways, routing, firewall policies, and secure connectivity solutions.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, VPN technologies, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.Experience participating in compliance, audit, or governance activities, including ISO-based frameworks.Proven ability to troubleshoot enterprise networking and security issues in complex environments.Excellent communication skills with experience coordinating efforts across technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.Experience supporting infrastructure design, implementation, and operational support activities.Preferred QualificationsExperience administering or supporting CrowdStrike security solutions.Microsoft Azure certifications such as:AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer AssociateAZ-104: Azure Administrator AssociateAZ-500: Azure Security Engineer AssociateExperience working within government, municipal, or public-sector environments.Background supporting enterprise network architecture and modernization projects.Experience with cloud migration initiatives and hybrid cloud transformations.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. xzbcwsv Knowledge of Microsoft security services including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Conditional Access.
