Head of IT

West Palm Beach, FL (100% Onsite)

Our client in the Construction industry in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a hands-on, strategic Head of Information Technology to lead infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems while creating a seamless technology experience across both office and field teams.

This is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring technology is secure, reliable, connected, and scalable. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, and end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, cloud environment, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Drive cybersecurity initiatives, including identity management, data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Ensure reliability, performance, and connectivity across business-critical applications and platforms
• Partner with business leaders to improve integrations between enterprise systems and create a seamless user experience
• Manage IT vendors, licensing, budgets, and third-party service providers
• Enhance onboarding, offboarding, device management, and IT support processes
• Establish governance and best practices around emerging technologies, including AI
• Develop a scalable technology roadmap that supports future growth

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
• Proven success managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and enterprise applications
• Experience supporting distributed teams and multiple locations
• Strong track record managing third-party IT vendors and service providers
• Experience improving system connectivity, integrations, and user experience across business platforms

Technical Expertise

• Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern cloud infrastructure
• Cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and data protection
• Enterprise SaaS applications and systems integrations
• APIs, middleware, and data connectivity concepts
• Endpoint management, networking, and device lifecycle management

Preferred

• Experience supporting field operations, mobile workforces, or multi-site organizations
• Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, professional services, or other project-based environments is helpful but not required

The Ideal Candidate

This role is focused on the technology foundation behind the business , not ownership of construction technology platforms or business process workflows. The successful candidate will ensure enterprise systems are secure, integrated, reliable, and easy to use while partnering closely with application owners and business leaders.
