About UsWe are building the indispensable financial companion for Latinos in the US. We combine an AI-powered, conversational-first interface with real-time financial infrastructure to make cross-border money movement as easy as sending a text. Starting with fast, affordable remittances powered by AI and crypto rails, we are expanding into credit, savings, and wallet services to support the complete immigrant financial journey. Our ambition is to deliver a white-glove financial experience with the simplicity of a conversation, to a community that the traditional financial system has historically overlooked.
We are a hyper-growth Series C company, backed by over $300 million in funding from top-tier global investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, QED, Castle Island, Switch Ventures, HTwenty, Monashees, General Catalyst Customer Value Fund. This isn't just about the numbers; it's a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision and our team. Additionally, we were selected as an “Endeavour Entrepreneur” and was a recipient of the CrossTech Fintech Startups Award.
Joining us means you will be part of a team building a legacy, a company that will outlive us all. This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills to a deeply meaningful mission—serving a community that has been underserved for too long because we are obsessed with our customers. We get things done with urgency and focus, driven by extreme ownership over our impact. We collaborate without ego, fostering radical transparency and fierce loyalty so we can grow together. Because we aim for insanely great rather than just good enough, _we stay insatiably curious_—always experimenting, building the future today, and delivering a product that truly makes our users' lives better.OverviewWe are looking for a senior People Operations Senior Manager to establish a cohesive, dependable PeopleOps function for its growing U.S. operation of approximately 70 people. The primary scope of this role is to evaluate existing practices with a rigorous regulatory approach to benefits administration, visas and other compliance requirements , integrate current processes, identify key operational gaps, and implement appropriate workflows and controls to support scaling.
The core remit is U.S. PeopleOps, not Latin America.
This is a hands-on operational role for someone who has worked through audits and knows how to apply that rigor in a scaling company without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the US People Ops function. Act as an embedded Senior People Ops Senior Manager and oversee all responsibilities associated with benefits, management, stated notices, payroll and regulatory compliance, and be the contact person for visas with our immigration lawyers. Own our HRMS (Rippling) with regards to completeness and accuracy of information of all US employees (plus some consultants, trainees and summer MBAs). Onboarding and off-boarding of US employees. Responsible for conducting onboarding and off-boarding of US employees, consultants and trainees. Assess current operations. Review how U.S. PeopleOps activities are currently managed. Identify strengths, operational gaps, and immediate priorities for improvement. Establish the PeopleOps framework. Build a clear and structured PeopleOps operating model with defined ownership, thorough documentation, accurate recordkeeping, and effective ongoing processes.Apply an audit and control lens. Assess contracts, compliance practices, internal controls, and recordkeeping. Prioritize the essentials for our current stage rather than imposing a large-company process wholesale.Review operational foundations. Examine relevant employee processes and systems, including areas such as onboarding, visa-related administration, COBRA coverage, and the implications of changes in Rippling, where applicable. Recommend proportionate safeguards. Identify which controls should exist now and which can wait as the company grows. Background checks, an independent ethics reporting channel, pay-for-performance clarity, and a code of conduct are examples.Conduct annual renewal of benefits, with competitive bids and trade-offs. If the person is successful and interested, this is a role that could grow to part-time or even more, to coordinate the full People Ops function, including LatAm.
Initial 90-Day Focus
First 2 weeks: Map and assess the existing U.S. PeopleOps work, systems, documentation, and handoffs. After week 3: Lead the operation of all topics regarding US employees. Act as the contact person. Sometimes, there will be little action. Sometimes, there will be 1-2 cases of questions re medical benefits; sometimes we will need to guide new employees through their 401K, etc. It is not a high volume operation, but we want one very senior person to own these consultations and not only respond to them, but teach the team the best practices regarding that inquiry.  Identify gaps and priorities through an audit-style review, distinguishing essential controls from improvements that can come later.Consolidate the function into a unified PeopleOps structure with clear operational ownership and oversight.Work with our Finance and Controller teams to lead the payroll function in the US, including responsibility over payroll related taxes and states' regulation .
What we're looking for
Senior PeopleOps experience with a strong grounding in payroll, payroll-related taxes, benefits administration, visas, audits, internal controls, contracts, and compliance, with understanding of the main labor legislations in Florida, NY and California .Sound judgment about what a scaling company must have now versus what can be added later.Ideally, experience in both a multinational environment and a startup or scale-up. Financial-sector experience is a strong plus.Experience with an HRMS; Rippling familiarity is preferred but not required.Interest in learning and using AI as we move toward AI-native ways of working. Existing AI expertise is welcome, but curiosity and willingness to learn matter. If you are an experienced HR OPs executive, and you wish to remain active but not full time, you enjoy working in a start up environment, you want to be up to speed in AI, you live in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and you are willing to go to the office 4-6 times per month, this role would be interesting to you.  If you want to implement AI solutions, you will have access to the main AI tools and full support to learn and launch.
What success looks likeWe have a clear view of its U.S. PeopleOps risks and gaps, a prioritized plan grounded in its stage of growth, and a more cohesive function with appropriate operational controls. xzbcwsv  We are looking for a Senior Manager who can own the People Ops function for US employees, manage it with excellence and help set foundations for growth.
