AWS Hours Requirement: 12/36 - 12 Hour Shift Additional Shift Information: Weekend Requirements: As Needed On-Call Required: No Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $48.020 - $48.020 - $52.810 This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU. This position was originally posted to ratified STC SEIU members from 07/29/26 to 08/06/26. The position is now available to be filled by internal candidates that are not members of the ratified STC SEIU Bargaining Unit or External candidates to Sharp. What You Will Do The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is a professional caregiver who performs cardiopulmonary diagnostics, therapeutics and monitors within his/her scope of practice per TCMC physician approved policies, procedures and protocols. This position maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in hospital and department expectations and professional organizations. The employee provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. The RCP demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution. Pulmonary Function Technologists may complete the same duties as RCPs and provide additional specialized testing of patients (PFTs). The RCP follows/adheres to guidelines of care. Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care
- California Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) - Respiratory Care Board of CA -REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
- 1 Year experience in acute care respiratory therapy
- Experience in Bronchoscopy resourcing
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) -PREFERRED
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
