Ascension Seton is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical care to patients in the Austin area.
- Join an established team of physicians and APPs.
- Practice setting: Outpatient.
- 1 weekend shifts per month requirement.
- APP coverage will include multi-site care.
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system.
- Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries, as well as performing procedures and diagnostics. Will conduct patient histories, physical assessments, and interventions to support and deliver compassionate patient care.
- Formulate treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care within a supportive, physician-collaborative practice model.
- Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on wellness, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness and self-care.
- Support and coordinate care when higher levels of care are necessary, as well as ensuring timely follow-up with primary care physicians, pediatricians, and specialists. In addition, outpatient imaging, physical therapy, and RX services are available to patients.
- Practice with full clinical autonomy, enabling you to operate at the full scope of your license.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care or Primary Care setting
