Wastewater Operator 1

Wastewater Operator Position Summary: Perform duties necessary to maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements regarding incoming plant water, wastewater and NPDES storm water. Minimum Qualifications: MUST HAVE: valid Class 1 Wastewater License in state of Delaware or upon approval by State office High School Diploma or GED Ability to attain knowledge of water, wastewater and NPDES storm water operations. Obtain wastewater license before completion of 1 year of service in this position. Requires moderate physical exertion. Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor water, wastewater and storm water systems and perform corrective action as needed. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment. Reports any equipment malfunctions to the Lead Wastewater Operator Perform test on water, wastewater and storm water in accordance with proper procedures. Monitor and record flow meter readings and calculate daily flows. Follow proper procedures in obtaining all types of water samples. Maintain equipment used to perform testing and obtaining water samples. Perform sampling on monitoring wells, house water, wastewater, and storm water. Adheres to all common safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required. Responsible for following all Company and Government policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Management and or Lead Wastewater Operator.
