Role Description The Educational Counselor role at NDMIT is a full-time, on-site position based in Lucknow. The counselor will guide prospective and current students in understanding NDMIT’s digital marketing programs, admission requirements, and learning pathways. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, supporting learners with academic and career choices, and helping them align their interests with suitable courses. The role also involves organizing information sessions, maintaining accurate student records, collaborating with faculty and administration, and providing ongoing support to promote student engagement and retention. The counselor will represent NDMIT professionally, ensuring a welcoming, informative, and supportive environment for all learners.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Educational Consulting and Education, with the ability to explain course structures and learning outcomes clearly. Experience in Student Counseling, including guiding individuals through academic decisions and addressing learning-related concerns. Competence in Career Counseling, helping students identify career goals and map them to relevant digital marketing programs. Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to interact with diverse student populations. Relevant academic background in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; formal counseling certification is an advantage. Prior experience in academic advising, admissions counseling, or educational institutions; exposure to digital marketing education is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Lucknow, manage multiple student cases, and maintain organized records with attention to detail. Proficiency with basic office software and student information systems, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory student support.
